Hon. Najib Balala was born on 20th September 1967 in the port city of Mombasa. Endowed with a local primary education from Serani Boys, a national secondary experience from Kakamega High and an international education background in Business Administration, International Urban Management and Leadership from the University of Toronto and the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, Hon Balala is well versed in Kiswahili, English and Arabic and has a taste for the arts, culture and an avid fan of football as a sport. Married with three children, Hon. Balala has grown up, lived and worked in the port city of Mombasa all his life. His life has been one of continuous effort, striving against tremendous odds in an unbridled search for excellence. He is currently the sitting Member of Parliament for Mvita Constituency one of the 210 Constituencies in the Republic of Kenya.
